You're at a wine store and looking for a good wine to serve to houseguests. You don't know much about buying wine, so you ask a store employee for a recommendation:

This is a very useful phrase for when you're visiting foreign countries and want people to give you advice. You can use this in lots of situations. For example, at your hotel you can ask the person at the front desk:

Do you have any recommendations for where to eat?

At a restaurant, you can ask your waiter:
