You were having a friendly disagreement with your friend about who's going to win a baseball game. You said that you'd bet $100 that the Mets would lose. Your friend asked if you were serious about the bet. You are, so you answer:
Yeah, I'm dead serious.
“I bet you a hundred dollars the Mets are going to lose.”
You're having a friendly disagreement with your friend about who's going to win a baseball game. You're really sure that the Mets are going to lose the game, so you say:
I bet you a hundred dollars the Mets are going to lose.
“I might take you up on that.”
You were having a friendly disagreement with your friend about who's going to win a baseball game. Your friend announced "I bet you a hundred dollars the Mets are going to lose." You really think the Mets will win, so you would agree to that bet. You respond to your friend:
I might take you up on that.
