Don’t mind (something)

You can say "Don't mind ___" to be polite, if you want to avoid annoying someone. It’s kind of like a small apology. It means "Don't pay attention to this."

Don’t mind the mess! I’ve been really busy.

Don’t mind me! I’m just studying over here.

You can also use the phrase when someone else is causing problems:

Don’t mind them. They don’t know what they’re talking about.

Don’t mind Buster. He’s just curious about new people.
