"Resolving" a problem means finding a solution for it. "Resolving" a question means finding an answer for it. When you have a serious problem or an important question, you probably want to "get it resolved" quickly:

We need to get that resolved soon.

People also use the phrase "have ___ resolved":

I'll try to have it resolved by the end of the week.
